Join us for this virtual Lunch and Learn where we will hear from Michael Elliott, the President of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, about the proposed Bill 21.
The Bill, if enacted, would replace the 1998 Legal Profession Act and the Notaries Act with a “single regulatory authority” over lawyers, notaries, and paralegals. Many have commented on how the Bill carries sweeping changes that would impact the independence of lawyers in British Columbia. This talk will provide an overview of Bill 21 and allow members an opportunity to ask questions to further understand why this Bill is important to all lawyers. Please register for the event and the Zoom link will be provided on April 29th.
