Mr. Josh Krueger (he/him), Treasurer
Josh is a partner at the firm of Jaswal & Krueger Criminal Defence Lawyers. He is currently the criminal law columnist for the Trial Lawyers Association of BC’s publication The Verdict. He practices primary in criminal law but also assists clients with traffic and administrative driving offences, which span across British Columbia. He has been a member of the Surrey Bar Association since 2018 and often can be found in the busy courtrooms of the Surrey Provincial Court. In addition to his role as President, Josh is a part of our finance, website/communications, professional development, and court users' committees. |

Rajvir Nagra, Secretary Rajvir is a commercial litigator at Hamilton Duncan Law Corporation and practices in the areas of construction, employment, debt collection, contract disputes and real estate litigation. Rajvir regularly appears at the Residential Tenancy Branch, Provincial Court of BC and Supreme Court of BC. In addition to his role as Secretary, Rajvir is the Chair of our Social Committee. |

Mr. Peter Buxton KC, Director Peter graduated from UBC Law School in 1980 and was called to the Bar in B.C. in 1981. He has appeared in all levels court in B.C., and the Federal Court of Canada. He has practiced criminal law, personal injury litigation, family law, estate litigation, corporate litigation and labour law. He has experience appearing at trial before both civil and criminal juries. He has been a practicing member of the Law Society of B.C. since 1981 and he is a current member of the Canadian Bar Association, the New Westminster Bar Association, and the Trial Lawyers Association of B.C. He is a former President of the Surrey Bar Association and currently sits on our Surrey Inns of Court Committee. Peter was appointed Queen’s Counsel (now K.C.) in 2015. He is a Harvard Law School and Law Society of B.C. Certified Mediator, and he is currently a Rostered Mediator with Mediate B.C. Peter’s current practice is focused primarily on mediation throughout B.C. and further information may be found at https://buxtonadr.ca.Mr. Gordon Kabanuk, Director After maintaining an independent practice in White Rock for many years, Gord is now working for the BC Prosecution Service appearing regularly before the BC Review Board on behalf of the Attorney General of British Columbia. Gord has held various portfolios with the SBA over the years including two terms as President. He currently assists with our website and communications, and is a member of the organizing committee for the Surrey Inns of Court. |

Mr. Zain Ali (he/him), Director
Zain is a criminal defence lawyer practicing with the Surrey firm of Stern Shapray. He is active in the soccer community and speaks fluent Hindi. Zain is a member of our court users' and professional development committees. Zain is the main SBA contact for the Barrister's Lounge at Surrey Provincial Court. |

Mr. Soleman Hashmi, Director Soleman is the founder and principal of Hashmi Law a local firm focusing primarily on personal injury law. He is fluent in French, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi and also speaks Spanish. In addition to his role as a director for the SBA, Soleman is on the board of directors for the Downtown Surrey Business Improvement Association and was previously on the board of directors for the Surrey International Music Marathon. Soleman is a member of our professional development committee. |

Mr. Navdip Chhabra (he/him), Director Navdip is a litigator, primarily practicing in the area of criminal defence. Navdip also assists clients with traffic and administrative driving offences, as well as select civil litigation matters. He has appeared before the Provincial Court of BC, the Supreme Court of BC, RoadSafetyBC (formerly, the Office of the Superintendent of Motor Vehicles), and the Residential Tenancy Branch. |

Arica Tuscano, Director Arica is the founder and lawyer at Tuscano Law in Surrey. As a litigator focusing on family law, she regularly appears before the various courts in the province including the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of British Columbia |

Altamish Khaki, Director Altamish is a family lawyer with his own practice. He focuses on high-conflict family law matters, including parenting disputes, property division, and financial support issues. Altamish regularly appears before both the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia, advocating for clients in complex and challenging cases.
